Local Lakes

Lavon:  Water lightly stained; 81-85 degrees; 12.18' low. Black bass are fair to good on texas rig, Rat-L-Traps and Texas rigs. White bass are good on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs over brush piles. Catfish are fair to good on cut shad and nightcrawlers.

Joe Pool- Water clear; 81-85 degrees; 3.54' low. Crappie fair to good on live minnows and jigs over or around cover and in 15 to 20 feet of water. Black Bass are good on  buzzbaits, warms, lizards, and live baits. White bass good on small jigs, small rattle traps and live minnows. Catfish fair on cut bait and live bait also prepared bait.  

Whitney: 
Water stained;78-82 degrees,  16.08' low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse spinnerbaits and crankbaits, and on watermelon topwaters early and late. Striped bass are fair on live minnows. White bass are good on minnows and hellbenders. Crappie are good on minnows and pink tube jigs. Catfish are fair on frozen shrimp, stink bait, and minnows.

Benbrook Water fairly clear; 78-81 degrees. Crappie fair on minnows slow on jigs. Hybrid bass fair on live shad and spoons. Catfish fair on shad live or dead. Bass fair late in the day on texas rigs.

Tawakoni -Water fairly clear; 82-87 degrees; 6.75' low. Black bass are fair on topwaters early, later switching to spinnerbaits, Texas rigs and wacky rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair to good on slabs. Striped bass and hybrid striper are fair on live shad and slabs. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.

Ray Hubbard - Water clear; 81-87 degrees; 6.34' low. Black bass are fair to good on topwaters early, midday switching to spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, Rat-L-Traps and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs over brush piles. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

Lake Palestine - Water lightly stained; 81-86 degrees; 7.23' low. Black bass are fair to good early and late on buzzbaits and Zell Pops, midday switching to Texas rigs, wacky rigs, spinnerbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs over brush piles. Catfish are good on cut shad and prepared bait. Bream are good on worms. Hybrid striper and white bass are fair to good on slabs and Rat-L-Traps.

Urban Areas

Trinity Park (Clear Fork Trinity River)  - Crappie slow on minnows and jigs. White and yellow bass slow on rooster tails and minnows.  Catfish fair on chubs, crawfish, and shad. Black and Spotted bass great on minnows, small rooster tails, crawfish jigs, and spinner baits. 

River Park (Clear Fork Trinity River)- Crappie Fair on minnows and jigs. Black and Spotted bass good on minnows, small jigs, and rooster tails. Hybrid striped bass slow on spoons, shad. Catfish fair on shad dead or alive, chubs and crawfish.

Greenbriar Park(Fort Worth, TX)- Crappie fair on minnows slow on jigs. Bass good on spinner baits and rooster tails. Catfish good on nightcrawlers, shad, and liver.

Lakeside Park(Duncanville, TX) -  Water clear very low. Crappie slow on minnows and tube jigs. Catfish fair on monnows, nightcrawlers, and stink bait. Bass fair on spinner baits and lizards.

 God bless the unfortunant and the suvivors of the Ike victoms.
In my opinion Hurricaine Ike was a blessing in disguise although there are curfews and hardly any public spots avalible to fish in galveston the fishing is "off the chain" for the few ours we fished we limited out on redfish and drum using berkly gulp shrimp and dead shrimp. We even caught a few keeper specks and sand trout on white with silver flake crappie grubs.

Bass: (Largemouth, Smallmouth, Spotted, Guadalupe) Bag:= 5 in any combination. Lenth= minimum of 14 inches.

Striped and Hybrid Striped Bass: Bag= 5 in any combination. Lenth= minimum of 18 inches.

White Bass: Bag= 25. Lenth= minimum of 10 inches.

Yellow Bass: Bag= No Limit. Lenth= No Limit.

Catfish (Channel and Blue) Bag= 25 in any combination. Lenth= minimum of 12 inches.

Catfish (Flathead) Bag= 5. Lenth= minimum of 18 inches.

Crappie (White and Black) Bag= 25 in any combination. Lenth= minimum of 10 inches.

Saugeye: Bag= 3. Lenth= minimum of 18 inches.

Walleye: Bag= 5. Lenth= No Limit only 2 can be less than 16 inches.

Sunfish (Bluegill, Redear, Green, Warmouth and Longear): Bag= No Limit. Lenth= No Limit.

Drum(Black): Bag= 5. Lenth= 14 - 30 inches.

Drum(Red): Bag= 3. Lenth= 20 - 28 inches.

Flounder: Bag= 10. Lenth= a minimum of 14 inches.

Seatrout(spotted): Bag= 10. Lenth= 15 - 25 inches.

Striped Bass: Bag= 5. Lenth= a minimum of 18 inches.

Catfish(gafftopsail): Bag= No Limit. Lenth= a minimum of 14 inches.
