Here are some crappie from around Texas!

Caught in 3 to 4 feet of water in Lake Bryan in spring spawn.

Few of many caught while night fishing with double jigs.

During the spring spawn in lake Bryan the crappie were plentiful, but it was this 8 pound bass that made the day. At the time I knew it was a good fish but I had caught bigger so i though nothing of it, only to later find out that the lake record was 7.5 pounds. Needless to say this fish never made it to the record books but she made a great sandwich.NEW

Caught on Lake Ray Hubbard on single jig in rocks.

Caught on minnows at night on Lake Joe Pool in 2 to 4 feet of water using a slip bobber rig.

Joe Pool lake in mid fall we caught these crappie in 10-15 feet of water using live minnows.

Spring 2009 proved to be a good one for the crappie on Lake Joe Pool. Doing the bulk of my fishing at night armed with only chartreuse panfish assassins, these are a few of the bigger crappie I was able to bag.
